These typical Thai big game trollers are probably the best value for money fishing in the world. A whole days fishing for only 11,000 Baht including lunch and soft drinks.

Fishing Trip Details:
Mena 1. 2. 3. & 5. (4 is an unlucky number in Thailand) are probably the best value for money fishing at 11,000 Baht for the boat, two crew, lunch and soft drinks.
Each boat usually carries 4 multiple trawls and 2 outriggers.
Only once in my history on these boats, six years, have I failed to catch anything and a normal days fishing is usually around 20 fish with over 40 being my biggest catch.
Expect to catch a variety of tuna and if the outriggers go off, watch out, there’s big stuff about. We recommend fishing parties of no more than 6 but the boats will easily handle twice that number of passengers.
The Mena "Budget" boats are usually skippered by Jimmy , when not on his other boats, Jimmy is a Scottish ex-pat of long standing and this gray haired old salty certainly adds some spice to a day at sea fishing.
Charter fee includes the following:
Beer and snacks are available at Chalong Pier and the boat provides chilling facilities.
TIPPING - there are normally two Thai crew per boat and it is customary to leave a tip.
- Budget boats do not include hotel pick-up and a return service although all hotels will organize a taxi for you and there is a taxi rank at Chalong Pier.
- All our trips require a 50% payment in advance, the balance to be paid on the day.
